Privacy Statement
CookieAccept Pro automatically interacts with supported cookie banners, including clicking Accept All, saves your preferences, and helps reduce repeated cookie pop-ups. Rejection is applied where supported by the extension and the website.
1. Who is responsible
QualityEdge.cc, based in Belgium, develops and maintains CookieAccept Pro (“the extension”). For privacy questions, contact [email protected]. Our website is www.qualityedge.cc.
2. Information the extension processes
The extension processes only the information needed to detect supported cookie banners and apply your preferences:
- Preferences and settings: your chosen cookie-banner preferences and extension settings. Only preferences are saved; website content and browsing-history logs are not stored.
- Website context: the current website’s address or domain and relevant page elements, such as banner text and buttons, to identify cookie controls and apply the appropriate setting.
Website context is processed within your browser. The extension does not send page content, website addresses, or your browsing activity to the developer or to external servers. It does not create a browsing-history log or intentionally read passwords, payment details, or unrelated form entries.
3. How information is used and stored
Your preferences are stored locally in your Chrome browser profile so the extension can remember and apply them on future visits. The extension does not use Chrome Sync or a developer-operated server to store these preferences. Relevant website content is processed temporarily to detect and interact with cookie banners.
The extension does not connect to external services or use external APIs, analytics, error-reporting services, or advertising services. It does not use your information for advertising, profiling, or analytics. It does not sell, rent, or share your preferences or browsing information with third parties.
4. Browser permissions
The extension declares the following permissions. These permissions enable browser access; they do not mean information is transmitted to QualityEdge.cc.
- Storage: allows the extension to save preferences locally.
- Tabs: permits access to tab information, such as website URLs and titles, for tab-related functionality. The extension does not retain a browsing-history log.
- Active tab: permits temporary access to the current tab after a user interaction with the extension.
- Scripting: permits scripts to run on authorized pages to interact with supported cookie banners.
- Context menus: permits extension controls to appear in Chrome’s right-click menu.
- Access to all websites: allows the extension’s content script to run across websites and detect cookie banners. Chrome may describe this access as permission to read and change data on websites. The extension uses website access for its cookie-banner functionality.
You can review and manage permissions and site access in Chrome’s Extensions settings. Restricting site access may prevent automatic cookie-banner handling on those sites.
5. Cookie choices and third-party websites
Selecting Accept may allow a website and its partners to set optional cookies or use similar tracking technologies. Selecting Reject instructs the extension to use supported rejection controls where available. The website is responsible for implementing and respecting the resulting choice.
Cookie banners vary, and automatic detection or interaction may not work on every website. The extension cannot guarantee that all tracking is blocked or that every banner is handled correctly. You can review or change consent through the website’s own privacy or cookie settings.
Websites may store your consent choice in their own cookies or local storage. Their collection and use of personal information are governed by their own privacy statements.
6. Retention and your controls
Saved preferences remain in your browser profile until you uninstall the extension. The extension does not currently provide an in-extension reset or deletion button. Disabling the extension stops its operation but does not itself delete saved preferences.
You can change your settings, restrict website access, or disable or uninstall the extension through Chrome. Removing the extension does not automatically remove cookies already set by websites or withdraw consent previously given to them. Use the website’s consent controls and Chrome’s browsing-data settings to manage those separately.
7. Security
The extension relies on Chrome’s extension storage and browser security controls. No storage or software can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep Chrome and the extension up to date and protect access to your device and browser profile.
8. Contacting us
If you contact us for support, we receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address and a description of the problem. We use it to respond and resolve your request, retain it only as needed for that purpose, and do not use it for advertising. Please avoid sending passwords or sensitive website content.

9. Changes to this statement
We may update this statement when the extension’s functionality or data practices change. The latest version will appear on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Please review this statement when installing an updated version of the extension.
